Minister Çitaku in the "Balkans Scorecard" conference

Today the Minister for European Integration, Vlora Çitaku spoke at the summit "Scorecard Balkans" organized by Friends of Europe and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. Minister Çitaku also had meetings with Vice President of the European Parliament Ms. Diana Wallis and Members of the European Parliament Mr. Eduard Kukan and Mrs Ulrike Lunachek.

Today the Minister for European Integration, Vlora Çitaku spoke at the summit "Scorecard Balkans" organized by Friends of Europe and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. Minister Çitaku also had meetings with Vice President of the European Parliament Ms. Diana Wallis and Members of the European Parliament Mr. Eduard Kukan and Mrs Ulrike Lunachek.

 

During the summit, Minister Çitaku highlighted the role of the European integration process within the overall development of the Western Balkans, Kosovo's need for contractual relations with the European Union and realisation of the European perspective, by initiating processes such as a dialogue on visa liberalization.

 

During separate meetings with the Vice President of the European Parliament. Diana Wallis and members of the European Parliament Mr. Eduard Kukan and Mrs. Ulrike Lunachek, Minister Çitaku spoke about the latest political developments in Kosovo. During the meeting the European agenda of Kosovo, Kosovo's achievements in the field of visa liberalization and opening the dialogue, as well as government measures to address the recommendations of the Progress Report were discussed. In particular Minister Çitaku thanked MEP Ulrike Lunachek for draft a motion for  resolution on Kosovo by the European Parliament, through which the European Parliament has called for five EU countries to recognize Kosovo's independence.
