The new Kosovo Ambassador to Belgium presents his credentials to H.M King Philippe of BelgiumThursday, 6 October 2016 - Today Ambassador Bernard Nikaj presented his credentials to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium and has officially taken up his duties as Ambassador plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kosovo to the Kingdom of Belgium.
The ceremony of the presentation of credentials took place at the Royal Palace of Belgium in Brussels. Ambassador Nikaj thanked His Majesty the King for the audience and assured King Philippe of his commitment to closely cooperate with Belgian authorities in order to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, with the view to boost economic exchange and to further increase cooperation on Kosovos EU agenda.
Ambassador Nikaj was accompanied to the ceremony by Mr Labinot Hoxha, Minister-Counselor, Lt. Col. Ahmet Ajeti, Defense and Security Attaché and Mr Valdrin Grainca, First Secretary at the Embassy of Kosovo in Brussels.
Ambassador Nikaj has previously served as Minister of Trade and Industry in the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, and was a lecturer at the University of Prishtina.
