The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels organized a reception in honor of the 12th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels

On February 17, 2020, at the premises of Cercle Royal Gaulois, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels organized a reception in honor of the 12th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo. Participants included representatives of the authorities of the Kingdom of Belgium, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Brussels, representatives of the institutions of the European Union, NATO, as well as representatives of our community living in Belgium.

In his greeting speech, the Ambassador of Kosovo in Brussels, Mr. Bernard Nikaj highlighted the achievements and challenges that the Republic of Kosovo has faced during its 12 years of existence as an independent state. Describing the Republic of Kosovo as a success story, Ambassador Nikaj expressed his gratitude for the cooperation with the Belgian authorities and those of the European Union, stressing once again the importance of moving forward with the processes of EU integration for Kosovo.

Present in the ceremony was also the Minister of Finance and Transfers of Kosovo, Mr. Besnik Bislimi, who greeted the guests.

The evening was enriched by the excellent performance of pianist Andi Duraku and violinist Rron Bakalli, from Kosovo, while the challenges of Kosovo's journey towards EU were reflected through 12 caricatures masterfully prepared by Jeton Mikullovci.

The Embassy made sure that all those present have the chance to taste traditional food and about seven varieties of wines offered elegantly by Stone Castle Winery.
