Hoxhaj meets with ambassadors of EU countries in KosovoPrishtina, 10 September 2014 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Mr. Enver Hoxhaj, was hosted by the Ambassadors of European Union countries in Kosovo, with whom he discussed the country`s political developments.
Minister Hoxhaj informed the European ambassadors in details about the political developments in the recent months, especially on the Berlin Conference, Kosovo`s European Integration Process focusing on the SAA and the persistence to have it signed during the Italian Presidency of EU.
Minister Hoxhaj stated that the Berlin Conference marks a new stage of EU-Western Balkans relations and an example of how to treat Kosovo as an independent country and equal to other countries in the region.
According to Mr. Hoxhaj, Kosovo remains committed to implement all international obligations and commitments, focusing on the dialogue with Serbia and the good news received a few days ago in regard to the agreement for the construction of facilities at six IBM Border Crossing Points.
The Chief Kosovo diplomat expressed, before the ambassadors, the institutions readiness to continue with joint efforts in the fight against extremism and terrorism, whereas expressing the need to join Interpol and cooperate directly with Europol.
Minister Hoxhaj informed the Ambassadors of EU countries for his, and President Jahjaga's participation in the works of the General Assembly of UN and this year`s Kosovo's application in the Council of Europe.
The European ambassadors commented and asked questions to Minister Hoxhaj on numerous internal and external political topics.
