Ambassador Dugolli presented letters of credence to Lithuanian President GrybauskaitėVilnius, 26 February 2014 - Ambassador Ilir Dugolli has presented to the President of Lithuania, HE Dalia Grybauskaitė, letters of credence accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Republic of Lithuania.
During the audience at Lithuania's Presidential Palace, Ambassador Dugolli has relayed to President Grybauskaite expressions of gratitude from Kosovo's citizens and its institutions for Lithuania's ongoing support. Ambassador Dugolli has also seized the opportunity to brief President Grybauskaite on the recent developments in the country.
Ambassador Dugolli has met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Mr. Linas Linkevicius. Minister Linkevicius reiterated Lithuania's support for Kosovo's path toward the European Union and reiterated readiness of his country to share experience with Kosovo.
Among others, Ambassador Dugolli has also met Deputy Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas and Chair of the European Affairs Committee, Mr. Gediminas Kirkilas, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Prof. Benediktas Juodka, European affairs director of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tomas Gulbinas.
