Ambassador Citaku met with the Rotary Club of Alexandria

Ambassador Vlora Citaku held a speech at the State Department about the role of women in Kosovo, during the women’s history month. She talked about Kosovo’s economic prospects and investment opportunities, especially in the energy sector.

There were a lot of questions raised about Kosovo’s institutions and economy, so the Ambassador gave an overall political and economic overview of Kosovo.

Among the facts she gave to the Rotarians were that Kosovo is the fastest growing country in Europe, with a vibrant economy, and that women play a very important role in the government and economy. During the meeting, there was also had a presentation by Sarah Bodley from Empowering Women, an Alexandria non-profit organization that offers women a variety of support programs.
