Ambassador Spahiu Spoke to an Audience of American University Students

October 13, 2011, Washington, DC. Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the United States of America, Avni Spahiu, spoke to an audience of students of “Peace and Conflict Resolution Program” at American University in Washington, DC.

In his speech, Ambassador focused on the process of post-conflict development and on Kosovo’s progress since independence. He highlighted Kosovo’s achievements in terms of political and economic development, minority community protection, and reconciliation.

The group of 20 students from all over the United States, including Germany, Norway, South Korea, Colombia and Japan will visit the Balkans region for three weeks to study in closer proximity the wars that led to the collapse of former Yugoslavia.
