Hoxhaj in many meetings in Dubrovnik, the year-end of good news for Kosovo

Dubrovnik, 27 August 2016 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, during his participation in the Dubrovnik Forum, has held a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the region, as well as representatives of the United States and countries that have not recognized Kosovo.

In the meetingwith Croatian Foreign Minister, Miro Kovac, Hoxhaj asked Croatia's support in thevisa liberalization process, and the need to intensify bilateral relations inmany areas.

Hoxhaj asked fora greater role of Croatia in the region as an EU member state.

Hoxhaj held anothermeeting, with Foreign Minister of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, with whom he discusseda range of issues and support in the process of visa liberalization for Kosovocitizens. 

“Many substantive meetings that reconfirmed once again unreservedfriendship and support that we have from Croatia and Hungary. I asked theirsupport in the process of visa liberalization and for a wide range of other mattersof bilateral character. I am very optimistic for a year-end of good news” stated Hoxhaj.

Hoxhaj alsomet with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Hoyt Yee, with whom he reaffirmedUS support in the agenda of recognition and membership in internationalorganizations.


Separatemeetings, Minister Hoxhaj held with Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina,Igor Crnadak and Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Mardas, with whom hediscussed the intensification of institutional cooperation.

The ChiefDiplomat participated in the traditional Dubrovnik Forum, where besides the meetingshe held a lecture at the panel "Geopolitical Challenges".
