Minister Hoxhaj’s official visit in Brussels and Strasbourg

On 12 and 13 of September 2016, Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, held meetings with senior representatives of the European Union Institutions, NATO, Belgian MFA, and the Council of Europe.

During his stay in Brussels and Strasbourg, Minister Hoxhaj met Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Policy on Neighborhood and Enlargement, Dimitris Avromopoulos, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Migration and Citizenship, Alexander Varshbow, NATO Deputy Secretary General, Didier Reynders, Belgian Foreign Minister,  Thorbjorn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe and various MEPs of the European Parliament.
Minister Hoxhaj discussed the recent political developments in Kosovo, regional cooperation and challenges, the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and the current situation on the implementation of agreements. The main topics of these meetings were - the process of visa liberalization and the relationship between Kosovo and the European Union after the signing of the SAA. Minister Hoxhaj received full support of all representatives of the EU, NATO and Belgian authorities on the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of Kosovo.
