Two-day visit of the Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Ministers Bislimi and Gërvalla in BrusselsBrussels, 29 April 2021 - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti together with the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Mr. Besnik Bislimi and Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Mrs. Donika Gërvalla, accompanied by the Charge d'Affaires, Ambassador Mr. Astrit Zemaj, was on a two-day visit to Brussels. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Kurti, started his visit with the meeting with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Mr. Alexander De Croo, and in the European Commission in five separate meetings with European Commission members:
- Janusz Wojciechowski - European Commissioner for Agriculture & Rural Development,
- Didier Reynders - European Commissioner for Justice,
- Kadri Simson - Commissioner for Energy,
- Paolo Gentiloni - European Commissioner for Economy, and
- Valdis Dombrovskis - Executive Vice-President for an Economy that works for people
The meetings continued with the President of the European Parliament, Mr. David Sassoli, as well as with Mr. Miroslav Lajčák - EU Special Representative for Dialogue and the Western Balkans.
Meanwhile, the second day of the visit, Prime Minister Mr. Kurti started meetings first with Mr. Jens Stoltenberg - NATO Secretary General then meeting with Mr. Josep Borrell - High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, with Mr. Olivér Várhelyi - European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement and with Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen - President of the European Commission.
Prime Minister Kurti ended his visit to Brussels with the presentation he made to the members of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs and then the meeting he had with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. David McALLISTER.
