Condolences and homage for Hungarian Albanologist Istvan Schutz

Pristina, 14 December 2010 Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo and its Embassy in Budapest with great sadness received the news of death of Hungarian Albanologist Istvan Schütz. Director-General in the Ministry, Lulzim Mjeku, expressed his condolences to the Hungarian Ambassador in Pristina, whereas Kosovo Ambassador conveyed her sincere compassion to members of the family and friends of late Professor Schütz.

Departure of Professor Schütz is sad news about loss of a true friend, a genuine scholar and a person who made bridges between the two states.

Professor Istvan Schütz will be missed and remembered dearly for his outstanding scientific personality and his remarkable intellectual courage. Unfortunately, the death separated us from Professor Istvan Schütz.

Ambassador Sherifi was present at the burial ceremony and, on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, expressed her condolences to the family of late Professor Schütz and paid the last respects and homage to Albanologist Istvan Schutz.
