Ambassador Malazogu held lectures in University of Osaka and University of Doshisha in KyotoOsaka and Kyoto, 26-27 May 2017 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Tokyo, H. E. Mr. Leon Malazogu lectured about Kosovo in two prestigious universities in the Kansai region. Professors and experts present got involved and also discussed possible fields of cooperation with Kosovo.
On 26 May 2017, in the School of International Public Policy of the University of Osaka, Ambassador Malazogu spoke about the new social contract of Kosovo as the country with most modern legislation in the Western Balkans regarding the protection of minorities and cultural heritage. He described the peace-building process, the commitment towards Euro-Atlantic integration as well as Kosovo’s progress on a range of indicators. Malazogu invited experts present to cooperation more with Kosovo in helping promote recognition of its diverse cultural heritage by international organisations.
On 27 May 2017, in the Doshisha University, Malazogu spoke about “the re-emergence of the Western Balkans as a geostrategic frontier”. Ambassador explained the challenges ahead of the Balkans in the strategic orientation towards European integration and elaborated Kosovo’s stable foreign policy and constructive role in international relations. In both lectures, Malazogu also mentioned the excellent bilateral relations with Japan.
